Here it is! Why schedule a Bridal Session immediately!


Wedding dresses, wedding invitations, bridesmaids, wedding cakes, engagement rings, a wedding planner; there is a lot that goes into making a wedding a beautiful and momentous day. It can get stressful, and sometimes overwhelming. With that said, why not consider a bridal shoot? And if you’re unsure of what that is, here’s all you need to know:

It’s a one-on-one session with your photographer where the bride participates in a photo shoot in her full wedding attire. Typically these shoots will occur before the wedding and should not be confused with pictures taken with your groom by your photographer of choice on the big day.

You’ll have plenty of pictures with friends and family on the dance floor or at the altar, but what about showing off your outfit? Make the best of your investment and consider putting it on display at your wedding sign-in table at your wedding reception.

3. Spend time with your Photographer

A relationship with your photographer is important. The more he/she gets to know you, and the more discuss the wedding, the more they will understand your tastes and style, resulting in an even better overall experience. Common Questions When booking a Bridal Session:

When should I schedule a bridal session?

  • You should have your bridal portraits taken 3-4 weeks before your wedding if possible. By that point, all of your final alterations on your wedding dress should be completed. That also leaves plenty of time to have your favorite portrait from your session to be printed and framed to display at your wedding reception.

Where should I have my bridal portraits taken?

  • Your wedding venue is a really great location to have your bridal portraits taken because there will be sentimental value. You can also travel to other locations around the city that you like but won’t be able to get to on your wedding day.

Should I have my wedding bouquet in the photos?

  • It is up to you! I think it is a great idea to include your bouquet in some of your photos. However, we will have time to get a few of those images on your actual wedding day. I know bouquets aren’t cheap.

How large should I get my bridal portrait printed?

  • 16 x 20 is a really great size to have your bridal portrait printed. It is large enough that it will catch your attention without being too over the top. Of course, you can go slightly smaller [ 11 x 14 ] or slightly larger [ 20 x 24 ]. It just depends on what you prefer! Just remember it is Texas…so go big or go home, right?
