David and Robin’s Story
As a teacher and a firefighter, Robin and David’s lives are filled with patience and caring, and their romance has been no different. The pair met in the winter of 2010 in the training room of Mt. San Antonio College while nursing track & field injuries. Bonding over their love for the sport and the outdoors, the two became friends, and over the next year, deeper feelings patiently grew. After spending their first date at the movies with Robin’s parents, David wooed Robin on the second date and ran away with her heart.
In a carefully planned proposal, David convinced Robin to go on a trip to Reefs Point for Memorial Day weekend. After a stop in Monterey, the site of the couple’s first getaway together, they continued on a scenic drive down Highway 1. The next step in David’s plan was a day in Newport Beach for some shopping and dinner.
Robin, however, threw David’s plans an hour ahead of schedule by requesting an early dinner. Lucky for David, the restaurant had a long waiting list allowing his evening to unfold as planned. The couple took a stroll along the coast and “ran into” David’s strategically placed cousins who were busy photographing the scenery. The group chatted and strolled, and when they asked to take a photo of the couple, David dropped to his knee and asked for Robin’s hand. She instantly accepted. As a sign of approval, a small scuttling crab even pinched Robin on the foot as he ran by.
On the big day, the bride and groom prepared in the rustic backdrop of the Westlake Village Inn, where the bride’s dress glittered in the sun, and the groomsmen’s pops of purple were elegantly showcased.
The wedding was held in a beautiful outdoor afternoon ceremony at Walnut Grove wedding venue in Moorpark Ca. and culminated in a night of dancing, love, and fun. The timing allowed for a beautiful “golden hour” sunset photo shoot in the magical tree-lined venue, complete with an antique fire truck and a classic 1965 GT 350 Mustang. The lively reception was highlighted with hues of purple, and centerpieces made with love by the groom’s mother. The images captured on that day truly speak to the magic and love this couple hold.
Walnut Groves landscape is just breathtaking for beautiful wedding photos
